“Heiter bis wolkig” is Paulina’s master’s thesis and the conceptual starting point for our ongoing project AURA.
The work explores how climate data can be translated into visual form — not only as information, but as experience. It examines the role of design in communicating abstract and invisible phenomena such as climate change, and questions how visual language can bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and public perception.
The theoretical research traces the history of meteorological observation and data visualisation, while the practical part experiments with generative approaches and publication design. Climate and weather data are transformed into visual systems that balance structure and atmosphere, precision and interpretation.
The project culminated in a publication and exhibition, presenting the work as both research and spatial experience.
